This major aims to master the basic theories, knowledge and skills of materials science and engineering, identify with the values of Chinese society, firmly establish a scientific world outlook and methodology, be innovative and creative, abide by rules and laws, and have good scientific research ethics and professionalism. 具体要求:1. 学术能力要求。博士研究生应掌握材料科学与工程学科坚实宽广的基础理论和系统深入的专门知识;熟悉当代专业领域的基本状况和发展趋势,了解学科的理论前沿和发展动态;具有独立从事科学研究的能力,在学术或专门技术上做出创造性的成绩;具备宽广的国际学术视野和较强的国际学术交流能力。2.技能要求。熟练运用计算机,掌握科技论文撰写方法,熟练掌握汉语,具备听、说、读、写、译五个方面的基本能力。3. 学术诚信要求。恪守学术道德、崇尚学术诚信,热爱科学研究,具有严谨的科研工作作风和勇攀科学高峰的钻研精神。

培养环节及要求Training Activities and Requirements
一、学术规范教育:必修,0学分,在新生入学教育周开展学术规范、学术道德和学术诚信教育。
Orientation Education: Compulsory, 0 credit. Conducted during the New Student Orientation Week, it includes education on academic norms, academic ethics, and academic integrity.
二、论文工作:学位论文应在导师的指导下,由研究生本人独立完成。学位论文应充分反映研究生已全面达到培养目标所规定的各项要求。博士生学位论文研究的实际工作时间(从开题报告到申请论文答辩)原则上不少于1年,论文原则上应安排预答辩。预答辩应在所属学科范围内公开进行,并由以博士生导师及导师团队成员为主体组成的考核小组(至少3名博导,不包含自身导师)评审。预答辩通过后安排论文送审。研究生必须根据培养方案要求修满全部课程和培养环节的学分后,达到学术成果发表要求后,方可进行学位论文答辩。博士研究生在申请学位答辩前,必须在材料科学与工程学科或相关学科的国内外学术刊物上以第一作者且以安徽工业大学为第一署名单位公开发表(含录用)至少3篇与学位论文有关的一类论文,其中至少有1篇在材料科学ESI刊源上发表。
研究生申请学位提交的科研成果应与学位论文具有相关性。研究生以学术论文作为学位申请支撑材料的,其导师必须为学术论文的共同作者。学院鼓励导师组模式培养研究生,但上述导师均必须为招生导师或学院同意备案的导师。
Thesis work: The dissertation should be completed independently by the graduate student under the guidance of the supervisor. The dissertation should fully reflect that postgraduate students have fully achieved the requirements set by the training objectives. The actual working time of doctoral dissertation research (from the proposal report to the application for thesis defense) should not be less than 1 years in principle, and the thesis should be arranged for pre-defense in principle. The pre-defense should be conducted openly within the scope of the discipline and reviewed by an assessment team (at least 3 members) composed mainly of the doctoral supervisor and members of the supervisor team. The thesis will be submitted for examination after the pre-defense is passed. Only after completing all the credits of the courses and training links according to the requirements of the training program and meeting the requirements for publication of academic achievements can the graduate students defend their dissertation. Before applying for the degree defense, doctoral candidates must publish (including acceptance) at least 3 papers of a class related to the dissertation as the first author in domestic and foreign academic journals in the discipline of materials science and engineering or related disciplines with Anhui University of Technology as the first signatory unit, of which at least 1 paper is published on the ESI journal of Materials science.
The research results submitted by the graduate students applying for the degree should be relevant to the dissertation. If a graduate student uses an academic paper as the supporting material for his/her degree application, his/her supervisor must be the co-author of the academic paper. The College encourages the tutor group model to train PhD students, but the above tutors must be the admission tutors or the tutors agreed by the college to record.
1.开题:研究生在导师指导下进行学位论文选题。课题要具有先进性,能在撰写论文中提出新见解。 课题工作量和难易程度要恰当,能在规定时间内做出结果。课题尽量结合导师的科研任务进行。同时,选题也要切合研究生本人的基础和特长,提倡在一定范围内由研究生自己提出课题,征求导师同意后定题。掌握近年来有关该研究课题和研究方向的国内外研究现状和发展趋势,对国内外15年内的30-50篇有关文献进行阅读,做出分析和评价。
第三学期期中之前,以书面和讲述两种方式,就论文选题作答辩。课题组负责组织安排研究生论文开题报告会,通过有关专家(3-5名)充分评议。开题报告未通过者,应在2个月内补作开题报告,仍未通过者则终止学籍。开题报告内容包括课题研究的目的和意义,国内外研究动态,研究内容,预期结果,重点阐明关键问题与创新点、研究方法、技术路线、实验方案等,说明存在的主要问题、工作进度安排与完成日期等。一般应为0.5-1.0万英文单词。研究生应认真撰写开题报告,经导师同意和有关专家审查签字后报学院批准后执行,不得任意更改。
1. Thesis Proposal: The graduate students will choose the topic of the dissertation under the guidance of the supervisor. The subject should have advanced nature and be able to put forward new ideas in writing the paper. The amount of work and difficulty of the project should be appropriate, and the results can be produced within the specified time. The subject should be combined with the scientific research tasks of the tutor. At the same time, the topic should also meet the basis and specialty of the graduate student, and advocate that the subject should be proposed by the graduate student himself within a certain range, and the subject should be determined after the consent of the supervisor. Master the domestic and foreign research status and development trend of this research topic and research direction in recent years, read 30-50 relevant literatures at home and abroad in the past 15 years, and make analysis and evaluation.
Before the middle of the third semester, defend the topic of the thesis in writing and in speaking. The research group organizes and arranges the thesis proposal report meeting, which is fully reviewed by relevant experts (3-5). If the proposal report is not passed, the proposal report should be made within 2 months, and the student status will be terminated if the proposal report is not passed. The content of the proposal report includes the purpose and significance of the research, domestic and foreign research trends, research content, expected results, focusing on the key problems and innovations, research methods, technical routes, experimental schemes, and explaining the main problems, work schedule and completion date. Generally, it should be 0.5-10,000 English words. The graduate student should write the proposal report carefully, and submit it to the college for approval after being approved by the supervisor and signed by the relevant experts. It is not allowed to be changed arbitrarily.
2.中期考核:学院在留学生的课程学习、开题报告及学位论文中期检查等必修环节结束后都要对其进行中期筛选。中期筛选工作由课题组负责组织,结果报及研究生院及国际教育学院备案。有如下情况之一者,终止培养:(1)学位必修课程累计3门次(含补考)不及格者;(2)开题报告或论文中期检查不通过经重新开题或检查仍未通过者;(3)不能按照要求提交《开题报告》、《中期考核表》者;(4)由学生本人提出终止学习要求,导师及院(系)同意者;(5)由于学习态度等原因,导师及所在培养院(系)认为不宜继续培养者。终止培养者,如课程全部结束且符合培养方案要求,由国际学院发给课程结业证书,如未完成课程学习,只提供所学课程的学习证明。
2. Mid-term Assessment: After completing mandatory components such as coursework, thesis proposal, and mid-term examination for the PhD's thesis, the college conducts a mid-term assessment for international students. The mid-term assessment is organized by the research group, and the results are reported to the Graduate School and School of International Education for record.
Termination of enrollment will occur under the following circumstances:
(1) Accumulating three failed attempts (including makeup exams) in mandatory degree courses.
(2) Failing the thesis proposal or mid-term examination, even after reevaluation.
(3) Failing to submit the "Thesis Proposal" or "Mid-term Assessment Form" as required.
(4) When a student personally requests termination of their studies, and the supervisor and the college approve.
(5) If, due to reasons related to the student's attitude towards learning, the supervisor and the college consider it inappropriate to continue the student's education.
Students who have their enrollment terminated and have completed all required coursework in accordance with the training plan will receive a course completion certificate from School of International Education. If they have not completed all coursework, they will only receive a certificate of completion for the courses they have undertaken.
3.学位论文评审:学位论文必须是系统完整的学术论文,要体现充分的工作量和成果的先进性。论文的主要工作能充分反映作者在本学科领域内掌握坚实的基础理论和系统的专门知识,创新性工作至少应在理论分析、计算方法、实验方法数据处理等任一劳动教育方面有一定的新见解,取得某些新的结果或一定的革新或改进。学位论文的主要工作,特别是创造性工作,必须是研究生独立完成。博士生学位论文研究的实际工作时间(从开题报告到申请论文答辩)一般不少于1年。
3.Thesis Evaluation: The PhD's thesis must be a comprehensive academic paper that demonstrates a substantial amount of work and advanced results. The primary work in the thesis, especially the creative work, must be independently completed by the graduate student. The actual research work duration for the PhD's thesis, from the thesis proposal to the application for the thesis defense, generally should not be less than one year.
学位论文规范性要求:(1)论文应有一定的系统性和完整性,有自己的新见解;(2)论文撰写一般应包括:中英文摘要、 目录、引言、正文(理论分析、实验过程等)、结论、致谢、参考文献等,并按标准封面装订。(3)论文写作要文句简练通顺,条理清晰,逻辑性强;概念清晰,分析严谨;方法、步骤清楚,理论推导正确,数据真实有效可靠;图表清晰,研究结果表达准确,提出结论实事求是。(4)论文的行文语言为英文,不少于1.5万个英文单词,必须附中英文摘要。英文摘要约300个英文单词,答辩时使用中文或英文。
Formatting Requirements for the Thesis:
(1) The thesis should possess a certain degree of systematical and completeness, offering new insights.
(2) Thesis writing should generally include elements such as abstracts in both Chinese and English, table of contents, introduction, main body (theoretical analysis, experimental processes, etc.), conclusion, acknowledgments, and references. The thesis should also be bound with a standard cover.
(3) The writing of the thesis should be concise, coherent, well-organized, and logically sound. Concepts should be clear, and analysis should be rigorous. Methods and procedures should be clearly explained, theoretical derivations should be correct, and data should be genuine, effective, and reliable. Figures and tables should be clear, and the presentation of research results should be accurate, with conclusions drawn objectively.
(4) The language of the thesis is English and should consist of no less than 15,000 English words, accompanied by both Chinese and English abstracts. The English abstract should be around 300 words, and the thesis defense can be conducted in either Chinese or English.
学位论文质量要求:(1)能对选题的科学依据、目的意义、研究内容、预期目标、研究方法、课题可行性等做出论证;(2)对所研究的课题应有新见解,在原理方法、实验方案、工艺流程等方面有所创新,具有一定的独立进行科学研究或独立担负专门技术工作的能力。
Quality Requirements for the Thesis:
(1) The thesis should provide scientific justifications for the chosen topic, including its basis, significance, research content, expected outcomes, research methods, and feasibility.
(2) It should offer new insights into the researched topic and demonstrate innovation in principles, methods, experimental plans, and technological processes. The thesis should exhibit the ability to independently conduct scientific research or undertake specialized technical work.
完整的学位论文经导师审查同意后送学院进行预审查,论文需通过有关学位论文学术不端行为检测系统测试。通过检测的论文由研究生院组织或者委托学院组织论文评审,申请者本人及导师不得参与,论文评阅人名单应对学位申请人保密。评阅意见及评分由学院研究生教学秘书通知导师并转交申请人。学位论文评阅按照学校和学院相关规定执行。
Once the complete thesis has been reviewed and approved by the supervisor, it is submitted to the college for preliminary examination. The thesis is also required to undergo testing through the academic misconduct detection system for theses. Theses that pass the detection process are organized by the Graduate School or entrusted to the college for further review. The applicant and the supervisor are not allowed to participate in the review process, and the list of thesis reviewers must be kept confidential. Review comments and scores are communicated to the supervisor by the college's Graduate Teaching Secretary and then relayed to the applicant.
The evaluation of the thesis is conducted in accordance with university and college regulations.
4.学位论文答辩:完成所有培养环节并通过学位论文评审者,按照学校文件规定进行答辩申请并参与答辩。答辩委员会的组成由课题组负责聘请。正式答辩前半个月由答辩秘书将论文送交答辩委员。
论文答辩未通过的,经答辩委员会同意,可在三个月以上一年以内修改论文后重新申请组织答辩一次。如答辩委员会未做出修改论文和重新举行答辩的决议,或学位申请者逾期未完成论文修改或重新答辩仍未通过者,以后不再受理其学位授予申请。
4. Thesis Defense: Those who have completed all training activities and passed the thesis evaluation are required to apply for and participate in the thesis defense according to the Regulations of Anhui University of Technology.
The defense committee member is invited by the research group. Half month before the formal defense, the thesis is submitted to the defense committee by the defense secretary.
If the thesis defense is not successful, with the approval of the defense committee, the applicant can apply to revise the thesis within three months to one year and then request a re-defense. If the defense committee does not make a decision regarding thesis revisions or a re-defense, or if the applicant fails to complete the thesis revisions or fails the re-defense within the specified timeframe, their application for degree conferment will not be considered in the future.
三、毕业具体要求
1.在学校规定的学习年限内完成培养方案所规定的课程学习 、必修环节和科研或实践任务,考核合格,完成学位论文。
2.学位必修课加权平均分应达到优良(≥75分);未达到优良标准但已修满规定学分的,可参加毕业论文答辩,答辩通过者,准予毕业,但不能申请学位。无不及格科目。
3.研究生申请学位之前必须以本人为第一作者(或本人为除导师外的第一作者)、我校为第一署名单位,公开发表(含录用)至少3篇与学位论文有关的一类论文,其中至少有1篇在材料科学ESI刊源上发表。
4. 达到《国际汉语能力标准》三级水平。
Graduation Specific Requirements
1. Complete the courses, mandatory components, and research or practical tasks specified in the training plan within the prescribed duration of study as determined by the university. Successfully pass the assessments and complete the PhD’s degree thesis.
2. The weighted average score for mandatory courses for the PhD's degree should be at least 'Good' (≥75 points). If this standard is not met but the required credits have been earned, the student may participate in the graduation thesis defense. Those who pass the defense are allowed to graduate but are not eligible to apply for the degree. No failed courses.
3. Before applying for the degree, the graduate student must have himself as the first author (or himself as the first author except the supervisor) and our university as the first signed unit, and have published (including acceptance) at least 3 papers of a class related to the dissertation, of which at least 1 paper has been published in the ESI journal of Materials science.
4. Pass HSK 3.
